Amazon Luna
Amazon has launched its new cloud gaming service called Amazon Luna.
Luna is designed for instant play and leveraging AWS. The users can enjoy the service on their favorite devices without lengthy downloads or updates, expensive hardware, or complicated configurations.
With its limited US launch, Luna will be available on Fire TV, PC, and Mac and on web apps for iPhone and iPad, with Android to come soon.
“We created Luna to make it easy to play great games on the devices customers already own and love.”
Marc Whitten, vice president of Amazon Entertainment Devices and Services
Players can subscribe to the Luna+ game channel at an introductory price of $5.99 a month.
Amazon says more than 100 games will be available via the Luna Plus channel. The launch titles include Resident Evil 7, Control, Panzer Dragoon, A Plague Tale: Innocence, The Surge 2, Yooka-Laylee, GRID, Abzu, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
At the same time, Amazon has also announced a new gaming channel with game publisher Ubisoft, which will be available directly through Luna. Players who subscribe to this channel will have access to Ubisoft games in up to 4K resolution, mobile gameplay, and access to new titles when the channel launches.
“We’re proud to be working alongside Amazon on Luna, utilizing the power of cloud gaming to provide our players with another way to access our games, wherever they are.”

Amazon also announced its own Alexa-enabled Luna Controller that connects directly to the service to reduce latency. It will cost $49.99 during the early access period, but the players can use other controllers as well.
Moreover, Amazon will also feature Twitch integration with Luna. The gamers can explore the games they just saw their favorite streamers playing.
