Liga 1 in Peru Becomes Liga 1 Betsson

The premier soccer league in Peru Liga 1 will now be known as Liga 1 Betsson. The betting operator Betsson won the naming rights for the highest soccer division in Peru.

After more than 20 years, the football championship changes its name and becomes Liga 1 Betsson.

Betsson Group CEO Jesper Svensson was excited about the news, and proud to have forged this new partnership with the Peruvian Football Federation (PFF). 

This alliance with the Peruvian Football Federation is a historic step for Betsson Peru. Being part of the first division of professional football is an achievement that fills us with pride, and it also implies a responsibility that we happily shoulder.

While sports betting is the main topic, both the PFF and Betsson will work together to boost responsible gambling. They will run campaigns raising awareness about the issue. Betsson has the necessary tools to protect consumers and monitor their betting activity.

Thanks to this partnership the Peruvian championship will feature Betsson’s logo. Moreover, Betsson’s branding and signage will display across numerous retail and media channels in the country. Furthermore, the Swedish operator is showing commitment to contribute to the sport in Peru as well as in whole Latin America.

Liga 1 Betsson 2021 consists of of 18 professional Peruvian teams that compete in the championship. During these hard times, they bring joy and fun to millions of fans in the country.
