The famous betting operator Betsson received its license for sports betting in Germany. The official approval came from the Regional Council of Darmstadt.
We are pleased to finally receive this license and we are preparing to re-launch our German Sportsbook shortly under the German regulation. We look forward to offer German customers great entertainment.

Under the sports betting license, Betsson will operate 7 different brands. These are Betsson, Betsafe, Casinowinner, Guts, Nordicbet, Rizk Sport, and Schnellwetten.
Together with Betsson, one more sportsbook provider received a license as well. Betway also has official approval to offer sports betting via its DE website.
So far 25 operators have approval for sports betting in Germany
The total number of approved sports betting operators in Germany is now 25.
In March 2020, the German federal states agreed on a new German Interstate Treaty on Gambling. Granting licenses for the new sports betting market in Germany began in October 2020.
The treaty only regulates sports betting. However, it will also pave the way for the regulation and opening up of the market for online slots and poker in Germany as well.
It will come into force on 1st of July, 2021.
Recently, Betsson acquired a license to operate in Mexico.
